UpdateLine - well, the shipping container was delivered on April 29 and we had 7 days to load and pack it for shipment. It was 45 feet long, 9 feet tall, and 9 feet wide. The max capacity was 55,000 pounds which was good to know, given that Ben, our moving specialist from Allison's estimated 26,00o pounds of household goods. We didn't believe we had that much but even so, we would have half of the container left over.
Well, we had packed alot of our belongings and figured on loading the truck clearing a section at a time. Here's what the first day yeilded:
We knew we were in for a rude awakening after this. We spent the rest of the week trying to get as much boxed and packed before Brad's co-workers came on Friday to help load.

It's a slow, arduous process, in which you must really be prepared. It's also back breaking hard labor. We worked and worked and worked. On Thursday, I wanted to quit and book a flight out of there! Brad loaded about 70% of the stuff but it wasn't until his posse came and gave the mass man-power needed to get it done.
They filled that shipping container wall to wall, floor to ceiling and filled in every inch they could. It was amazing to see.
By Sunday evening, we were done - thanks to some new friends as well. Two new neighbors who had recently moved in came over and helped on Saturday and Sunday. It was about 1030pm on Sunday when it was completed.
Allison's picked up the truck on Monday and weighed it - 19,040 pounds - amazing - we did it! Now we're homeless and lighter and heading to our new home.
