Friday morning

and I have 6 weeks before I must leave this house. First off, this is the best house I have ever lived in, so moving out is sad. Packing it up myself has been a daunting exercise in persistence. I feel like I have been going non-stop and yet I look around and see no progress. I am sure I have, it's just that it's overwhelming to go through everything you own (some for almost a quarter of a century) and decide what to keep and pack and what to give away or throw away.
On a positive note, I posted an ad on Craig's List for free Nat Geo magazines and within a few hours, four people had written. My hubby met the woman this morning to give them to her. But I still have so much to unload. The books are almost done, and the shredding continues. I thought computers were supposed to reduce paper? Seems to me that it's worse than ever.
I packed 8 bins of fabric yesterday, only cleared one shelf. I have two more to go and all the odds and ends as well. I should never have to purchase another piece of fabric for a long time. Who am I kidding? I think I really believe that whoever dies with the most fabric wins! I feel sorry for whoever will have to execute my estate.
Back to moving, I am planning to finish the fabric and sewing area and the books for good this weekend. Then on to our clothing. Way too many clothes for any one person to own. I have a tremendous amount of sweatpants and sweatshirts (used to work in a pool) and they got to go - too hot in Kentucky for all that crap. I think I will also pack up all of our DVDs as well. It's going to be a long weekend.
Wish me luck.
